There are some pictures of us doing this analysis:
Second photo that I have chose to analyse:
This picture have been done by Elliott Erwitt.
- Balance Elements
This picture has just few Balance element as this photo were supposed to be not balanced to create a dipper effect on the viewer. For Example the dog on the left - if there were nothing in there, the photo would look empty and not balanced.
- Viewpoint
The viewpoint is not straight, as the photographer was trying to make an effect of the viewer like you are walking by this person on the street in a normal day and you will see that, what is on the picture.
- Leading Lines
There are few leading lines. In the beginning you are focused on a person in the middle as he is the main character in this scene, but then your view is carried to the dog which is seating close to this man.
- Rule of thirds
In this picture there is rule of thirds as the photographer have taken this picture with this man in the middle of the picture to make viewer be focused on the man, and then he have placed the dog on the left to create an effect of this picture balanced.
- Cropping
In this photo there are no elements of cropping as this picture have been taken and then placed more special effect on them.
- Key Light
As this picture have been taken during a day time, the only lighting which have been used is a sun light to make this picture real.
- Symmetry and Patterns
There aren't any symmetrical patterns in this picture as the photo have been taken from the sight and the main focus is in the middle and on the left.
- Framing
The picture is framed by the building around the person and the dogs because he is seating on the staircase but the environment around him is still creating an effect of him in a huge city.
- Experimentation
When the picture was taken, there were some experiments with the way the dogs should be placed and the position of this man. In the same time, there were few changes in the way the photographer was going to take the pictures.
- Quality of lighting
As the picture was planned to be black and white, the photographer was suppose to make sure that on the original photo, there are a huge number of light , so when you make in black and white, the picture will show the details and will be focused.
- Fitness for purpose
The purpose of this photo is to show the reality of the world. Many people are saying that person is very similar to his pet. In this picture it is shown that instead of a human face, the character has a dogs nature. The main aim of this picture is to be placed in a magazine.
This is the third picture I have decided to do.
This picture have been done by Bruce Davidson.
- Balance Elements
This picture has a number of balance elements as it is supposed to be very balanced. There are two man in the same t-shirts in the both ends of the picture. In the same time they are standing in front of the train doors which are symmetrical and this is a huge balance element in this picture and those doors are stands out.
- Viewpoint
The viewpoint is straight, as the photographer was trying to balance the picture in many ways and this angle is a perfect one to show represent the picture in the best view.
- Leading Lines
There are few liading lines. In the beginning you will be focused on the left man, then on the right man and then the actual doorway itself.
- Rule of thirds
In this picture there is rule of thirds as the photographer was taking this picture so the man on the left will be exactly there, so as the man on the right, and the actual doorway right on the middle.
- Cropping
In this photo there are no elements of cropping as this picture have been taken and then placed more special effect on them.
- Key Light
The main light is coming from the the high point above them so there are a number of shadows on their faces. This creates an effect of a moody situation in this train.
- Symmetry and Patterns
There are many symmetrical patterns as the men in the picture is placed symmetrical.
- Framing
The picture is framed by the train doorway around the people in this train which makes it a good framed picture.
- Experimentation
When the picture was taken, there were some experiments with the way the people were looking. In the same time, there were few changes in the way the photographer was going to take the pictures as the lighting could not be as great as he wanted.
- Quality of lighting
As the picture was planned to be dark, the photographer was suppose to make sure that on the original photo, there are a huge number of light , so when you make in black and white, the picture will show the details and will be focused and then he has increased the number of red, so it looks scarier.
- Fitness for purpose
The purpose of this photo is to show the reality of the world and to show the past time, so people can at least remember those times and it will not be forgiven.
