Composition - P3(a)

This picture we have taken in Kent College:

After adding some effect, we came out with this picture:
Now I would like to analyze it fully:

Rule of thirds: In the photo above you can see that we used rule of thirds, as we tried to make this tree in the middle and the rest of the leaves in the right and left parts of picture. This hve created an effect of the picture is balanced and viewer is looking at the tree fist ( in the middle of the picture.

Balanced elements: As I have already said earlier, by placing main subject in the center, as with the rule of thirds, it creates a more increasing photo. This means that every viewer is looking at the middle of the picture as the contrast is there.

Leading lines: When you look at the lines, you see the tree first, as the contrast is there, and then you start to look around the picture to capture everything what is happening in this picture.  By thinking about how you place lines in the composition, you can affect the way we view the image, pulling us into the picture, towards the subjects, or on a journey through the scene.

Symmetry and Patterns: As this picture is symmetrical, as the main object is placed right in the middle of the picture, so you can draw the line of symetry right in the middle of the picture.Another great way to them is to break the symmetry or pattern in some way, this introduces tension and a focal point to the scene.

Viewpoint: Before taking a shot of the place you want, take some time of thinking what do you want in your picture and what you don't, as the viewer is very critical to what is shown in the picture. On of the main things is a viewpoint as it creates a feel of the picture.Rather than just shooting from eye level, consider photographing from high above, down at ground level, from the side, from the back, from a long way away, from very close up, and so on.

Background: Human eye is an excellent tool which helps people to realise what is happening in front of them. This happens with pictures as well. It is really easy for it to recognise the main objective in the scene which means that if you create a blurry background, the objective on the front will look much clear then with a normal one. Therefore, the picture was taken when there were a small steam, so you will be focused on the tree.

Depth: Because the main objective is really clear and contrasted, picture became without a lot of depth, as you want the viewers to be focused on the main objective, when on other things.

Framing: The world is of objects which makes a perfect natural frames, such as trees, oceans and mountains. Therefore we thought to place a tree right in the middle of a composition, which means that it is perfectly framed.

Cropping:  Often a photo will lack on the focus of the main subject, therefore some photos are cropped in order to make them stand out. In this case, it is not cropped as the main subject is placed right in the middle and is in focus.

Purpose: is create a nice looking picture which could be placed in a magazine.

This is a part of a rugby posts in Kent College:

Those are the rest of the pictures that we have taken in order that we have a different photos to analyse:

In order to try some ISO changes we have been doing our own pictures. There they are:

This experimnetal photo was done with those seggings. The shutter speed is really high (1/500 sec), but the aperture is really small, so there is a focus on the objective as the ISO is 1250 so there is more light coming through the lens.

In this picture,I have been trying to take some shots while my friend was running. The background appeared very sharp but my friend is blurry. The ISO have to be lowest, as the shutter speed makes the effect that I want as we taking the picture to try the difference in the shutter speed and the effects it gives.
